Google allowed the New York Times to sit down with the team in charge of controlling and improving the Google search engine. The reporter from the Times met with Matt Cutts, and the head developer Amit Singhal. Read the whole article below, but in my mind, it just further solidifies my belief that Google can afford to hire the smartest people in the world to make Google the best search engine. Therefore the best way to get consistently strong rankings in Google, or any search engine for that matter is to find out what they want and provide them with it. Trying to trick the search engines may help you in the short run but not over the long term.
